About Mikivus

Mikivus (pronounced: mÄ«'-kÄ-vÉ™s) is actually very simple:  It's a photo celebration. Well, perhaps more specifically--it's my photo celebration. See, it all started when I turned 49 and decided, for some reason, to post a photo on Facebook every day during my 50th year to celebrate my 50th year of life. Borrowing from a favorite Seinfeld plot, the term Festivus came up and somebody suggested this photo celebration was actually my Mikivus. And the rest is history.

I didn't miss a day of posting a photo and couldn't be more grateful for the endeavor. I recently reviewed it again, a few years later now, and the memories contained within them are priceless. You'll see a link to the celebration below, though the page is still under construction. Not sure yet how I'll capture it here on my site. But rest assured, I'll figure it out.

Until then, please enjoy the celebration of my passion for photography. Explore this site. Purchase a print if you find something you like. Or don't. It's fine. This truly is more about sharing and celebrating than it is about selling. But my personal celebration does grow knowing others shared an appreciation for something I created. And that makes me happy. And so with that, as I ended most every post that year...

Happy Mikivus Everyone!
